Melamine based flame retardants show excellent flame retardant properties and versatility in use because of their ability to employ various modes of flame retardant action. PLASTISAN flame retardants are widely used in Polyamides (Nylon 6, nylon 6-6, nylon 66/6, nylon 11-12).

Except for polyamides, melamine cyanurate is always used together with other flame retardants offering synergistic effects.
